i know i might be outing myself as a bad person to some people on here. but let me tell you that the amount of trans joy I feel watching Nemo win the ESC this year. I have never before in my life as an out non-binary person felt proud of my identity. The amount of shame I feel on a daily basis, the amount I have to correct people on my pronouns, the numher of times I just let people refer to me incorrectly because its so much energy to correct them... and Nemo's performance tonight made me feel proud of who I am for the first time in my life. I have been to pride parades. I have walked with my flag. I have come out to the vast majority of people in my life. And only today did I really experience trans joy.

anyway, fuck the IDF, fuck the EBU, fuck the tories, fuck anyone who tries to take tour basic rights away from you for whatever reason. trans people have always existed and free palestine.

Congrats to Nemo and Switzerland! I would have been completely fine with Switzerland or Croatia winning because I really liked both of their songs. The song I ended up liking the most was Hollow (Latvia’s song) and I really didn’t think it would make it through but I’m so glad it did. I also really loved Czechia’s song and I’m so upset it didn’t get past the semis when that one shitty song did iykyk bur Austria and Latvia being next to each other on the announcement for who qualified was fun :D

Can't stop crying thinking about Nemo's Unexplainable performance. I love them so much. Going on stage, opening up your soul to millions of people, singing a song about the fear of never being understood by the world you live in, showing so so much vulnerability and strength while knowing that that's exactly what's gonna happen. Knowing that you'll be shredded to pieces because no one is gonna get what you're doing, what you're saying, how you're looking.

Someone asked them if they thought they would've won this year, given the current state of *gestures vaguely to everything*. They answered saying that the real question was if they would've written a song like The Code, or dared to go to Eurovision with it. They said Unexplainable is the song they would've written instead.

Being trans right now is extremely scary. Seeing them in such a huge stage singing about people like us means the world.
